We have a large amount of jackets and hoodies that have been left behind by students. They are currently in our Lost and Found on display by the stage area in the cafeteria. We encourage everyone to look through the Lost and Found when you are on campus to reclaim your lost items. Items that remain when we dismiss for Christmas break will be donated to the local shelters.

WES is partnering with WPS for our annual Parent Involvement Night. We are hosting this event for our families and hope you can join us next Thur. Nov. 16 from 4:30-6:30pm.
On Tues. Nov. 7, students and staff can wear pink and/or purple in memory of Addison Shepherd. Please contact Kelly Brown for additional information.

Wylie Elementary School will host the canned food drive next week, Nov. 6-10. Please send non-perishable food items with your student, which will be donated to local food banks for the upcoming holidays. The class with the most donations will receive an ice cream party.
Wylie Elementary School is hosting Muffins for Military and a Veterans Day Program for all WES families who are active or former military. This event will be on Friday November 10, 2023 beginning with Muffins for Military at 7:30am with the program to follow. Reach out to Mrs. Kelly Brown if you have any questions.

All storybook pumpkins need to be picked up from the library by Friday, Nov. 3 at 3:30pm. Any pumpkins left will be discarded.

Power has been restored at all HISD campuses.
Due to a city power outage are Northside and high school campuses are without power. Please do not pick up children at this time as we were expecting the power to come back on shortly. HHS students in dual credit will be released for their dual credit classes as normal, since the dual credit facility currently has power. We'll update you with more information when it becomes.
Red ribbon week is next week, Oct. 30-Nov.3, at Wylie Elementary.
Purple Pinkie day for WES is Friday Oct. 27 beginning at 7am. Students must complete the parent permission form to participate in this event. Permission forms are attached. Please contact Kelly Brown for additional information.

PTO will be selling Henderson Lions Spirit Tattoos tomorrow, Oct. 13, for students to purchase for $1 each. Students can purchase tattoos during the fall carnival they attend during the school day.
Also, reminder that fall break is next week, Oct. 16-20. There will be no school for staff or students. Classes resume Monday, Oct. 23, 2023.
