We have so many fun things going on in this short week! Dismissal will be at normal time this Thursday.
Our Kindergarten students receive weekly lessons on our character trait of the month. In November we focused on gratitude and December we learned about empathy. These students were chosen as students who show these traits! Thanks to our wonderful PTO for purchasing the t-shirts for us! We are so proud of these kiddos!

Snow Day in Pre-K! Students practiced math, patterns, motor skills, shapes, letters, science experiments, prepositions, and much more! All while having snow much fun!

At approximately 1 pm, local authorities alerted the district of a possible threat to an un-named school in the area. All HISD campuses went into lockdown. The suspect has been apprehended and is in custody. The lockdown has been lifted.
Kerry the Critter Guy visited Wylie Primary today! He brought a hedgehog, tortoise, kinkajou, a boa constrictor, and the fluffiest rabbit ever! We had so much fun and learned so many facts about these animals!

Mrs. McNew and Mrs. Walker are both using a creative way for their students to practice their letters and sight words! Shaving cream means a messy, fun, and effective way to learn!
