During the marching season, "The Lion Pride Band" marches in the traditional military style. The drum majors, majorettes, and instrumentalists begin working weeks before the start of school and continue that work each week to prepare a quality performance. In addition to the regular performances at halftime of each varsity football game, the band also competes at the U.I.L. marching contest in the fall of each year.

During the concert season, the band switches gears to prepare and polish a variety of complex musical pieces to present for public enjoyment at concerts and the judges at the annual U.I.L. concert and sight reading contest in the spring of each year.

As the directors share the gift of music with their students, they are committed to instill a strong work ethic, build character, and develop leadership skills in each student. Teamwork, commitment, and dedication for one another help prepare students be productive citizens.
