HISD received a report from a student at the Middle School campus today that they had heard about and had seen a threat to the campus posted on social media. We immediately took this report seriously and conducted a thorough investigation to determine the credibility of the threat. After a detailed investigation involving a number of students and staff, we have found that the threat was unfounded and there is no evidence that there was ever any danger to our school or students. We take all threats seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety of our students and staff. We appreciate everyone who cooperated with this investigation and want to remind all students that if they ever hear or see anything that causes them concern, they should immediately report it to a trusted adult. It is important that we work together as a community to maintain a safe and secure environment for all. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your campus principal. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our school safe.

Focus on the Future is Friday morning for juniors and seniors. Students will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with over 50 vendors. The vendors represent a variety of post-high school paths for students...technical careers, professional careers, right-out-of-high school careers, on-the-job training careers, apprenticeship careers, etc. We are excited to create opportunities for students to talk to those currently working in their field of interest. Over $1000 in door prizes will be given away to students in attendance!
