All campuses are currently following their normal schedules at this time. While students on all campuses did shelter in place earlier during the tornado warning for the city of Henderson, students returned to their classes once the danger passed. We are continuing to watch weather conditions closely and will update if necessary.
It's the last week of 2022 for HHS. Please pay close attention to the exam schedule for Thursday and Friday. It is linked in the weekly highlights. Missing exams can cause students to lose credit for the semester. Make up day is Monday, December 20 but requires PRIOR principal approval.

MAP testing tomorrow morning at HHS. Please remind your students to charge chromebooks and be present for testing. This testing can earn semester exemptions for students who are present with device and show growth in math and reading. Second chance breakfast is cancelled for MAP testing. Please arrive at school early enough for the traditional breakfast service.

HHS Senior Pep Rally - NO CHANGE. We will still celebrate our HHS seniors during the Senior Pep Rally on FRIDAY, 8:45 AM as previously planned. - HISD Admin.
The HHS Varsity football game with Jacksonville has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7 p.m. at Lions Stadium. Senior Night ceremonies will begin at 6:30p.m. All non-varsity games will be tentatively scheduled for Friday, weather permitting.
We know this is a major change and we appreciate your understanding. The safety of our students comes first and have decided to reschedule the game since we cannot know the exact timing of the possible severe weather event on Friday (which may include hail, high winds and even tornados).

The power has been restored to both our NIS and HHS campuses. Students are returning to their classes.
A large portion of the city is without power, including both our High School and Northside campuses. We are in contact with SWEPCO expect power to be restored soon. We are holding kids until that happens.
